I'm not sure that taking them too
Young makes them love city, it might put them off for life. I've seen young kids bored to tears before. My 3 kids are all 5 and under and I'm not taking them for a while yet as it isn't fair to expect them to sit for 90 minutes.

I think most parents taking toddlers do it for themselves, not the kids. My dad took me to my first game at Maine road aged 6.
Ah so thats where you're age limit came from? Im sure if he took you at five your original post would've read "its kids under the age of about 5 which I find odd." Am I right? I am aren't I?
No. I think I was a bit too young if I'm really honest. It doesn't offend me what others do, each to their own. I'm just commenting that for me it seems a bit silly and pointless taking kids who are too young. I love to spend time with my kids but I do it at places they enjoy rather than endure

I tend to agree. My grandad took me to a RL match when I was 4. Apparently I hated it, kept moaning to go home. He took me again when I was 6 and I loved it.

i take my 6 year old son a couple of times a season and i sit in 101, as its not in the family stand i have no problem with anyone piss up swearing shouting abuse etc...

i teach him right from wrong and hopefully he doesnt do it when im not around. he defo doesnt when i am!

therefore you need to lighten up you miserable ****. so does anyone who tells you to stop the swearing/ behaviour. tell them to go fuck themself, tell them i told you to if that helps

My dad took me when I was 6 and I was bored shitless (doesn't help with the fact it ended 0-0 and we were shit that day)

I gets into the ground yesterday, first thing I see on the tv screens is herman with his kids, on the fucking pitch! I walk down to my row and to get past my seat I have to usher myself past about 8 different people all holding little fucking kids. Half way through the game I look round and all these little kids are sat there on their fucking phones dicking about playing snake or whatever they do, this is after I've poznanned in some ribena that one of the little bastards had spilt. The Etihad stadium IS NOT A FUCKING CRECHE

Take your fucking kids and fuck off home, and that includes you herman

You fucking moronic imbecile.

I take my 5 year old lad to the game, as and when HE chooses, and when HE chooses to come to the match it's the highlight of my weekend.
He fully understands the concept of the game wheather he is playing or watching it including the offside rule! he watches penalties through his fingers, kicks every ball, cheers every goal and sings the songs all the way home in the car and I wouldn't swap it for the world.

Took my nephew who is eight yesterday and he loved it, he got a bit bored at certain times when the crowd died down and became a bit quite. But overall he loved it and especially when we scored our goals and the crowd (myself included) were going mad etc....At one point I caught him singing blue moon, absolutely fantastic stuff. Think if we were still pretty average or shit like we have been in the past then it would have been a different story :) The kids are the clubs future so crawl back under that rock hermit man ;)

All the young ones spoil it a bit. There are dozens of kids around me and my daughter who are on nintendo's and mostly facing away from the pitch! Those seats could be filled with blues who were 'evicted' and sent elsewhere.

Don't get me wrong, i took my kids when they were about 7 or 8 a few times, now though my daugter is 13 and loves it and is bitter as they come! I would hate these kids to associate the etihad as somewhere they are forced to go and be moaned at to 'sit nice' just because mummy/daddy has no friends who like city enough to get a ST or doesn't want to pay top whack for a ST elsewhere in the ground.

take a look at my location cunty. i hope you aint referring to my son or little bastard as you stated. i was there yesterday with my son who is nearly 3. he watches city with me at home, preseason, aways etc. he sings city songs and cheers when we score. if i want to take him to watch city like my dad did with me, then i fucking will do.
did you not have a good childhood? did your dad not take you to the football? how dare you spout off on an internet forum about some kids who have all probably had a great day out with their mums and dads. why didnt you go and tell your feelings to the father of the little bastard(s) that pissed you off so much? ill tell you why... because your fucking coward. if you was referring to my son in your rant, then i wish you had came up to me yesterday.
Raging!!
Hahahaha

OM NOM NOM NOM

I didn't have a dad to take me

My Son will be coming to games a soon as he is old enough, if he enjoys it, we will always go together when we can.
