Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has reiterated his side’s desire to win the FA Cup after their fourth round victory over Fulham.

A third-minute penalty from Ryan Giggs, followed by a second-half strike by Wayne Rooney and a Javier Hernandez brace was enough to render Aaron Hughes’ 77th-minute effort a mere consolation for the visitors, as Manchester United marched on to the fifth round.

United have not lifted the prestigious trophy since 2004 when they beat surprise package Millwall 3-0 at Wembley and Ferguson insists it is a fact both he and his players are intent upon changing.

‘The FA Cup is an important trophy for us this season. We haven’t won it for 10 years. Rio Ferdinand has never won an FA Cup medal, so we need to do something about that,’ said the Scot.

‘The four strikers we had in 1999 were fantastic players but we have four now who are equally as good. If we can get three or four players around the 20-goal bracket then we’re in business.’

And United veteran Giggs supported his manager’s view.

And yet when we beat them in the semi final in 2011 Baconface said "we will just have to go and win a proper trophy then"

As always, if they win it its important, anyone else does it means nothing.

Part of their inbred arrogance.

They haven't won it for a while Pam, so they pretend it isn't important.
They are liars and hypocrites right from top to bottom. As soon as they win the FA cup again it will be the best trophy and most important cup competition in the world again.

Mind you , if it was United playing Wigan in the FA Cup final , who , other than their own supporters , and Wigans 'chosen few' , would bother watching it ??

But the rags should remember , that without their 11 FA Cup wins , their self professed history wouldn't look quite so 'presentable'!

They are more concerned with over hauling Chelsea's record number of 95 points........oh hang on

The thing is they we so sure they were going to win the double this year they pretend it's not happening.

They are gutted!

my raggy brother in law came up with this shit! said the leauge is the big one and the fa is a mickey mouse cup. funny that.... they havent won it in 10 years but theyre quick to include it when they count up the number of honours they've picked up. Wankers!

My dad was out for lunch with my rag uncle earlier today. He apparently pretended to be surprised that the FA Cup Final was important enough to be on terrestrial TV. In fact, he pretended to think that only ESPN could be bothered to cover it live and no one would be watching.

OMFG, the snivelling coyotes have taken over the asylum. It is raggyism run amok. It has taken the utter cretins all of five minutes to turn into the biggest, most deluded. most FA Cup belittling gob-shites on the planet. And whilst it all a pretense, we need to put this bollocks up of a league campaign to bed now and never make it this easy for them again.A good start would be to win the FA Cup; have a good summer window and hold a rag battering Community Shield fest in August.
It's not just in football. It's happening in rugby league too with the Challenge Cup (the RL equivalent to the FA Cup) being mocked and belittled by a certain Yorkshire club who keep winning the Grand Final [and haven't won the CC for a long time, losing the last three Wembley finals two to my club Warrington!].

Certain groups of people are just instinctively a set of cünts and they can't handle or accept that other clubs that are successful as well as them. Anything anyone wins isn't as good as what they win or as good as the way they won the same thing.

They were convinced they were going to win a treble at one point.

That would confuse the fuck out of an awful lot of Wigginers, they wouldn't know who to cheer for
