I too am perplexed at all these nostalgia freaks hankering after the good old days when City fans got behind the team, and never moaned.
People like Marvin frequently spout such nonsense. Were you there? Did you ever go to the away games? I was there in 1999 and we moaned like fuck almost all the way through it.
At York there was almost a pitch invasion as fans attempted to get at players Royle Out chants could be heard all the way down Bootham Crescent after the game.
City fans have always moaned. And they always will moan. The Main Stand was famous for being host to the Maine Road Moaners... and that was during 1968 when we won the Championship!
Moaning is an integral part of the English game... So why shouldn'yt we moan...AS WILL EVERY OTHER CLUBS' FANS IN THE COUNTRY. NOW. IN THE PAST. IN THE FUTURE.
It's been a part of football since football began. Only geeks who call it soccer think otherwise.

We can give you numerous examples of us moaning through that season... apart from Wembley (and half the crowd departed when 2-0 down, if you remember!) can you tell me examples of our outstanding loyalty when we didn't moan?
