It's all a laugh till a nutter harms a player and fences are put up.

They weren’t put up after the Brennan Johnson, Grealish or Chris Kirkland incidents.

Fans would just jump over the fences if they wanted to get on the pitch anyway. Fans go on the pitch in Germany all the time and they have fences.

Know of him but don't know the guy personally. He has clearly got carried away after a few too many beers. It will cost him dearly, and he can't complain about that. The game over here is trying to clamp down on pitch invaders for obvious reasons and you have to face the consequences of your actions, unfortunately.

The players didn't know him from Adam but could tell it was a proper fan and very lighthearted.
