The first ever football game you watched

Think mine was 77 cup final rags vs dippers.
I remember wanting the dippers to beat them, so I must of hated them even at an early age.
Went my first city game a few months later.
Got beat 2-3 off Leeds November 77.
I was hooked the moment I reached the top of the steps and entered the Kippax

My first ever was a "derby" game from the Cheshire League in about 1957, Winsford Town v Witton Albion and a crowd of over 4000.
Went with my Dad and Grandad who were both big followers of Winsford Town and slightly later on I think circa 1959 Winsford were playing Macc away and every coach in the Mid Cheshire area was taken up by Winsford. Thick snow didn`t stop the game from being played.
How different are things nowadays ?

TV- 1968 FA Cup final. West Brom 1 Everton 0
Live - December 1969 (nearly a song title there). City 1 Tottenham 1. Alan Oakes scored for City. However my abiding memory of the day was Pat Jennings in.the Tottenham goal. I was only a kid but seem to recall him occasionally jumping up to pull the bar down.
Also recall from the day walking through the turnstile at the Platt Lane end and looking down the tunnel through the Maine stand / Platt Lane corner on to the pitch and thinking how colourful everything was . Up until then I had only seen football on black and white TV.

I have a vague memory of watching the 1966 World Cup final at friends of my grandparents.

The first game I really remember watching was the 1970 FA Cup final between Chelsea and dirty Leeds.

The first professional game I watched was an FA Cup replay at St James' Park, Exeter. The Grecians beat Leicester City 3-0, and a mate, Tony Kellow, scored all three:

The first time I saw City live was at Plymouth on 16/1/88. 2-0 up at half-time; we lost 2-3, and all the goals were scored at the other end of the ground.

My first game at Maine Road was the opening fixture of the 1990/91 season. We beat Everton 1-0, thanks to that rarest of things; an Adrian Heath goal.

I played in the first match I ever saw - srsly, 1969 I think. My coach was the left back on the local university team. Watching him play was probably the first 'real' match I saw. And soon I'm sure I was watching the Dallas Tornado matches on local TV.

First live game... 7 years old sat on my dads shoulders Bolton v Liverpool 27th Sept 1967. League Cup game that ended 3-2 and Franny Lee played. The smell of the hot dog vendors was a perfume only beaten by freshly cut hay or newly laid tarmac!

First TV game is sketchy but I think it was probably the QPR v West Brom League cup final on March that same year...same score 3-2 with Rodney Marsh netting the equaliser for QPR.
