It was either Was Not Was 'everybody walk the dinosaur' or 'Axel F' by Harold Faltemayer, which ever one come first chronologically.
 
Might well be “Hippy Hippy Shake”. I remember going to the Harrow Granada to see a bill that included Dave Berry, The Supremes and the Rolling Stones. But I was actually there for my absolute fave group at the time: The Swinging Blue Jeans.
(By the way, it wasn't easy to choose, but I definitely ‘supported’ their version over the rival Beatles one).
