The FOC thread.

I've just set it to record the final ever episode of Jack Hargreaves' 'Out of Town'. This was Dad's absolute favourite and I haven't heard the theme tune for 40/50 years - will be pretty emotional.
Well that was a let-down!

I'd forgotten that they'd changed the theme tune to some crappy instrumental dirge - I was expecting
"Say what you will,
The countryside is still
The only place where I
can settle down...
" etc.

Never mind :-/

Well I am now officially a FOC as I turn 66 today so I feel like I belong on this thread
We may only get £230.25, but get this, it's paid weekly, and sometimes you get five weeks in a calander month. I landed in the retirement field three week back and enjoy using my bus pass to excess to reach equalibrium with all the sausages that get get more cookies than me.

I've also become a paid up member of H&B, so as to remain in the peak of spartan goodness through my aged travels.

Anyway Happy Birthday. I was going to let my chums on here know it was mine back on the 5th October, but didnt want to abuse Rics bandwidth, as it may just have gone viral like wot Oakies did. Not sure his mainframe could have handled the traffic as it's not exactly Mumsnet.

H&B do a cracking Vitimin and mineral combo that's currently on a bogof and has all the important guff in it like biotin and zinc. Also their Retinol 0.2 serum cream is proper shit hot, and after 3 week of using it on my kneck, I no longer gobble anymore. It's just been reduced by 25% to £9 a bottle for online accounts and is a whole lot cheaper than buying cravats.

Another heads up for any other FOC'S out there is from those par excellent Nutrition Geeks with their glow up collagen powder that's made from 100% bovine and tirelessly crafted through a triple filtering process. Also, and not a lot of people know this, but Bovine collagen is twice as effective as Marine collagen due to higher bioavailability and better absorption rates. Just saying like!

Don't forget to use code GEEKY30 for 30% off your first order.

Who knows where the time goes:

Great advice there Bob, I'll be qualifying for my state pension next week and later today, I'll be sashaying on down to the Town Hall to have my photo taken for my bus pass. Life doesn't get much better.

For any Sky viewers: I've just been told about 'Talking Pictures' - a channel under the Movies section - which shows not only some low budget films, but also some real old gems.

I've just set it to record the final ever episode of Jack Hargreaves' 'Out of Town'. This was Dad's absolute favourite and I haven't heard the theme tune for 40/50 years - will be pretty emotional.

Anyway - take a look, bound to be some evocative stuff on there.
Talking Pictures is also available on Freeview; channel 82.

They really do have some cracking stuff on there.
