Look at the art work on this. Not AI generated, someone actually had to draw that. And the subjects of the cards were not only historical but captured the subject matter in all it's gory detail, no age restrictions, and didn't require "readers should be aware that the contents of these cards may be disturbing...." etc.

They came with reproduction dollar bills in various denominations which we also collected.

My brother will be 70 this year, and has the complete set of cards including the dollar notes.

They also did "Mars Attacks" cards and "Man form UNCLE" and others I can't remember.

I collected the Beatles ones too

You mentioned the Man from Uncle - I joined and got my yellow/gold U.N.C.L.E. ID card - I wonder if that would let me work in Starmer's new world!

Those cards were issued in 1964/65 so I was 5 at the time and yet, when I look at them, I can remember them vividly.

And they are so gory but, oddly, seeing them didn't make me grow up to be a serial killer.

Made by mum of childhood friend of Irish descent, not sure if relevant, was early 70s I think. Not cooked for as long as your link if I recall correctly. It was very tasty and beyond my mum's cooking skills

I would have been 11/12 at the time
And I'm not a serial killer either - so that's at least two of us on Bluemoon. Clearly without casting aspersions I can't say the same for the rest of the nutters on here!
