The forgotten few

I seem to recall he was cross-eyed. Didnt think it affected his vision though.
He was Cross-eyed but I seem to recall him getting double vision (no pun intended) that finished his career. I'm going to have to Google it now, see if I can find out as it's bugging me.

Paul Aimson? One of the few players on here I don't remember.
Made his debut at centre forward aged 15, in the early sixties. This from memory, could be wrong, but you will find him in the history lists somewhere.
Edit Dave Ewings back 'edder will remember him better than me.

Immel did have eye surgery when playing in Germany (yep I did look it up on google).

I wasn't born then.

I knew I'd read something. Was a decent keeper I thought , but like many, signed for us at the end of their career.

He wasn't a bad shot stopper to be fair but he was a keeper who was used to playing in a sweeper system and a keeper who struggled with the ball at his feet.

I think he played a few games for Germany although I may be wrong. Reading some of the names of our former players makes me realise just how bad we were. Any blue under 20 are blessed watching the players we have now. Some real toss players listed evoking memories of where we once were.

Yep he was capped 19 times. To be honest I am trying to forget about half the players in this thread.

Keith MacRae possibly our only ginger keeper, now living in America last I heard.
Signed from Motherwell and thrown in when big Joe had a downturn in form.
Lacked height for a keeper however played a few games in the end,he may have played at Wembley in 74 final.

Loved MacRae our ginger keeper. Was fascinated by him.
