Now did we only buy him to give aid Stockport some cash to stop them folding ?

I can't see any other sense in the transfer myself otherwise.
 
Anyone said John Deehan yet? He turned up as a coach under Mel Machin but we were told he was in good nick and was registered as a player. He never played for the first team but I remember him appearing briefly for the reserves (went off injured after a few minutes iirc).

After he left us he did play 11 games for Barnsley and scored a couple of goals.

Given that Wayne Biggins played a lot of games during his spell at Maine Road I am surprised he did not get any game time.

Chatted with him outside Wembley before the Stoke final.
Said he was up for it and rooting for City.
