The forgotten few

Steve Fleet (reserve keeper), Mike Batty (reserve centre-half), Geoff Chadwick, (reserve wing-half), Paul Aimson (reserve centre-forward) made a handful of first team appearances between them but we’re regulars for the reserves when my mates and I used to go to watch them at Maine Road in the very early 60s. Ah, those were the days!

Johnny Hart. Later managed City (briefly). None of those mid-50's players however deserve to be classed within the same thread as the likes of Creaney, van Blerk, Bradbury & Co.
Thanks for reminding me it was Johnny not Roy. Guess I've not understood what this thread is about - is it players so dreadful folk can't bear to remember them, or not bad 'uns most people have forgotten?

Just looked at his Wiki page, thought Tony Scully had played loads of games for us. Apparently he didnt hit double figures

Perhaps you were maybe thinking of Roy Paul?
No it was Hart I forgot, can't even think what he looked like now. Roy Paul always sticks in my mind because of a photo in my football annual that year, him and his lad laughing with the Cup after the Trautmann final.
