GME down at $153 in pre-trading, half what it opened at yesterday.
Another buying opportunity? Or has the ship sailed?

I don’t know mate.

My colleague lumped in yesterday for £10k. He’s having a bad day so far as my other colleagues are roasting him.

I can see a lot of people who got in @ < 100 jumping ship at open and tanking it

Looks like collusion between trading platforms and hedge funds at the expense of the small investor. As you say, utterly bent, and enough small investors are now selling to tank the stock allowing the hedge funds to buy it up on the cheap to cover their positions.
Damn there goes my hope of buying the dip on revolut

I take no pleasure in what I said last Friday that I feared this sort of shenanigans may happen.

It's not collusion, it's the fact that all these platforms were/are undercapitalized. The don't have enough equity because raising it would make them less profitable/dilute their shares. In normal markets this is "fine", but in situations like this when their collateral requirements go up exponentially they can either go insolvent or sell their customers down the river (and they chose the latter). No one should use these companies ever.

Gamestop down to $80 now - a long way away from the $460-odd I got in at last week. Good job it was only a couple of hundred quid's worth!
It's a short ladder attack. The HF's will do whatever they can do minimise their losses and that includes colluding with brokers etc to stop people buying. The short squeeze this week is inevitable as the stock is still shorted over 100%.

Will be back up to 400 dollars in no time.

I have about 15 k invested. Not worried whatsoever.

Of course only invest what you can afford to write off though.
