If the other participants are that worried about Dave's absence, why not just agree to let the Green Party play and he will be forced to show up, its not rocket science, in fact I would replace the Libdems with the Green Party as they are more relevant, Clegg and his cronies are a laughing stock..!

or alternatively Dave could just show up.

For once I agree with Dave. If UKIP are in the TV shows then the Green Party should be too.

The Telegraph, Guardian and YouTube have been suggesting for almost a year that they would like to arrange a live online debate including all five. Funnily enough neither Labour or Conservatives have agreed to it.

As I said a few pages back, I don't believe for a minute that either Cameron or Miliband are going to join in a debate with Nigel Farage. Hope I'm proved wrong even if it's only one and not the other.

I think there is far more important things to sort out other than who sits round a table. Still a difficult year to contend with.

It's about democracy and about the election.

Why should the TV companies/papers decide who should and who shouldn't be invited to broadcast their manifestos?

These debates are big these days, there are a lot who will base the decision on this alone. Not me but many will.

Either it's the main parties or it's a broader spectrum. Why on earth are UKIP invited but no one else?

But it will be funny if they go ahead without Dave. But they won't and hopefully if Farage is there he'll be shown up for the dangerous buffoon that he is.

Instead of watching talking heads spouting carefully prepared soundbites in stage managed tv debates why not go out to hustings and listen to what the person you are actually going to vote for has to say?

Everyone's getting worked up about Ofcom saying it should be UKIP but not the Greens. I don't see what it's got to do with Ofcom at all, nor can I see why any TV company needs to pay any attention to what they have to say, other than the point I made above that I think that both Cameron and Miliband want to avoid it and their mates in the BBC, ITV and Sky will be only too happy to lend a hand. Hopefully the Youtube one will go ahead and if that means two empty chairs, so be it.
