Lib Dems - left wing Tories
UKIP - right wing Tories (BNP light)

I hate the Tories but since the arrival of UKIP I hate them slightly less although they are the same as they have ever been.

I have no idea how this election will pan out - just hoping for some sort of centre-left coalition as UKIP will hurt the Tories more than Labour.

I will be voting Labour but as ever with a heavy heart as they have virtually abandoned their socialist origins.

I agree, Labour really need to get rid of that line - it's used far too often. Do the great unwashed hordes fall for it? Probably.
Also, agree the nasty Tory trait seems ingrained too far for surgical removal. IDS must be kept in his coffin until it's all over - then he can appear in public again safely.... With his sickle.

Sadly here is my prediction a Tory majority around the 30 plus mark perhaps more. UKIPs vote will drop to 10 to 15% (then rise again in local and by elections when people realise the tories have lied yet again about a referendum).
Labour will come 2nd but do badly to the SNP in Scotland.
Liberals and greens poor showing.
Unfortunately we'll be saddled with a very poor P.M and Government for the next 5 years because the opposition is even worse. the only good thing to come about is Ed's going to get the boot and the Labour party can and will rebuild.

Some interesting opinions, but, what do u make of the campaign - setting aside your personal bias, if possible - it is difficult!

In very broad terms, putting politics to one side, to my mind Tories nearly always come across as bigger c**ts. They have an unfortunate way about themselves, in the main. There's exceptions, of course. There always are when human beings are thrown into the mix.

If both the Labour and Tories were viewed by the electorate as being of equal competence, Labour would be elected every time. Most people do share their values to a much greater extent than Tory values.

Its the competency thing that gets the Tories into the game.

They do have an in depth knowledge on all the benefits people are "entitled " to claim, they feel as though the world owes them a living and hard work is for others but not them.

Could your workplace run with half the staff? Yes easily but only if they were not always on the sick.
Who are you voting for? - Labour

Refusing to rule something out isn't the same as doing it.

UKIP have got the taxation system right in my opinion. The introduction of a 35p tax bracket, though the qualification bracket is a little high on £31k as the average public sector worker wage is only £30k which should be a midline. But not too far off sensible.

We only vote for Labour governments when things have been going well for quite a bit under Tory rule and there is a healthy economy to be wrecked.

We haven't reached that stage yet so it'll Dave in No 10 in May.
