Cameron will have to hold a referendum on Europe now he has a majority. This will spell the end for UKIP who will fade away into non-entities by the time if the next election. With a Tory majority they will be able to get constituency booundaries changed so that the current situation whereby Labour don't have to get as many votes for a seat as the Tories do will end. The economy should continue to improve.

All these things will mean an easier job for the Tories to get an even larger majority at the next election in 5 years. Good times ahead :)

It's not as simple as that, he has to decide on a question and this where his swivel eyed loons will hold his feet to the fire, they want a yes or no, he will want a more complex question, a small minority is not easy to manage

I agree with you there mate, but I still see the referendum as being the end of UKIP. The question of Europe is their whole raison d'etre and if that question is answered in a refernedum than there's no point to them.

Many of the most brutal cuts in the public sector do not kick in until April 2017, and many councils, education authorities, police forces and other bodies have openly said they do not what they can do - there is nothing more to cut.

My local council recently cut a bunch of jobs.

Then hired a financial specialist for £100,000 a year to find other places to cut because they'd ran out of ideas.

HOW ABOUT THE HUNDRED GRAND YOU JUST SPENT ON EMPLOYING THIS PERSON!

My local council is cutting back on things like leisure centres and libraries.

But even with the job cuts it still employs more people than it did before New Labour's public sector recruitment binge started in 1997.

One thing I've not noticed mentioned today. Everyone had a go at Dave for being a chicken and ducking further debates etc but it worked in his favour when the SNP copied up to Ed and begged for power to shut the Tories out.

It scared plenty south of the border and will have turned many votes to the Conservatives.

The real truth of this election in my opinion is that Miliband, Clegg and the like are very decent men but are absolutely nowhere near Cameron's talent as a politician. Cameron killed the Lib Dem vote about a week after the Coalition Agreement. He gave the Scots a referendum an destroyed Labour's traditional power base.

He has obliterated every party with decisive and well planned decisions that made them both do something that they thought they wanted but would ultimately kill them in the long term. Potentially the finest political operator we've had in the top seat in the modern era. He's a killer.

Oh and just a side note when you have a heart attack there will be a fire engine turning up in the future with basic equipment not a full ambulance with highly trained paramedics, just a few firefighters with basic life support, but then again that's ok because that £8bn they pump in will be going into management pockets.

That post (IMO) just proves my point about people spouting off about the NHS whilst not understanding even basics.

Key to the current NHS strategy - and the one when the Labour party was in power is to get a grip of inappropriate attendance at A&E and to improve care in the community to reduce the services provided at Acute hospitals - it is good for us but people do not understand it - or choose not to

Yes but before you pay tax you need to work unless we are going to start taxing benefits

mind you 11.5bn...... might just be part of the answer

Then its the job of any government to create meaningful, paid employment is it not?

Not zero hours, minimum wage jobs that still means folk have to rely on the welfare state to top up wages, companies cant be arsed paying.

Again though, it would help this country enormously if everyone paid their tax yes?

Once again Zero Hour contracts are being banded about I have never even seen a Zero Hours contract and neither has any of the small business owners I had breakfast with! I actually asked this exact question this morning

And a non socialist Government is responsible to create the environment where private business can create meaningful paid employment

I know 2 people on zero hour contracts - my missus little brother works at a garden centre (young lad, just rented his first house, got engaged) and a mate of mine who works as a chef (30s, previously employed at a large restaurant but took a job in a pub kitchen for personal reasons)
