The election is a sideshow, as our politicians are almost powerless.
Meaningful economic growth in UK, as well in the West as a whole is a thing of the past, to be replaced by figures both inflated by unsustainable immigration and borrowing, and outright fiddled to put the best gloss on the harsh truth. Our politicians are little more than figureheads to put a brave face on world economic events and globalisation. They cannot deliver on either economic growth or increased spending.
It will make absolutely no difference whether Miliband or Cameron ends up being Prime Minister – neither will be in control of the country.

I would also add that nearly every significant progressive reform of the last century occurred under liberal or labour governments. Though I am not sure the Labour Party or liberal party of today have quite the bravery or idealism of the future to keep progressing

So why do the tories get voted out as they have been many times? Oh yes they get voted out because of the economy they must be crap too.

Today's economic issues can be put down to lax banking regulations in the city as much as anything else!

I'm chuffed to bits that Labour have got Blair involved in the election campaign.

That should go some way to ensuring that Labour don't win.

UKIP supporters are almost twice as likely to attempt putting up a shelf than Lib Dems supporters. In fact outside of putting together flat-pack furniture they are much more likely than average to do almost all DIY tasks. Not sure what that quite says but sure it says something.

Since the debate, it seems that Lib Dems have been the early winners in terms of it increasing their support. They're now polling at about 9% which is slightly up from the 7% of pre-debate but yet still lower than the 11% late last year.

UKIP still at 15% with Labour at 33% and Tories at 32% in the latest poll of polls released today
