The HALLOWEENATHON - What HORROR movie(s) are you watching?

Aside from Hereditary and Midsommar, I've not seen a 'new classic' horror as good as It Follows.
I'm all ears for new recommends though.

Smile (2022) compares favourably to IT Follows (2014)
Saw that and. though it was a diluted facsimile tbf :(

It follows (whilst borrowing a fair bit from Hallowen) was a breath if fresh air for the genre.
Thought A24 would kick start some genuinely great horror, but some of that has been a bit of a let down.

The new Evil Dead Rise (2023) is good gory fun.

A Wounded Fawn (2022) is a 70's Italian styled serial killer flick worth a watch.

Bones and All (2022) a cannibalism road movie featuring a creepy Mark Rylance.

After disappearing for seven years, the spaceship Event Horizon is rediscovered. A team of scientists sent to investigate and find the entire crew dead and a terrifying malevolent presence is lurking on-board.

A Horror/ Sci-Fi starring Sam Neil and Laurence Fishburne.

Watched one earlier called No One Will Save You. About an alien abduction.

One of the strangest endings to a film I’ve seen yet.

Really disappointed in a lot of the "horror" movies of recent years.

"Less is MORE "....something most of them don't seem to get.

In the run up to Halloween this month, there's a drip feed of horror films being broadcast on UK TV.

I'll post them as I see fit, feel free to highlight any films of the genre if I've missed them.

On tonight.

- A family must fight for survival when four masked strangers descend upon their beach house.

21:00 - *SkySciFi HD - Sinister (2012)
- A true-crime writer finds a cache of 8mm snuff films that suggest the murders are the work of a serial killer who dates back to the 1960's.

22:50 - BBC2 HD - The Omen (1976)
- An American ambassador to Britain switches kids after his wife delivers a still born baby, little realising that he's adopting the Anticrist.

The omen is an absolute classic.

We watched Leprechaun in the Hood last night. It’s an interesting watch
the title of that makes it sound like its either a complete car crash of a movie or so jaw droppingly terrible that its actually quite amusing and theres no in between
