The Duchess of Sussex has said it is "really liberating" to be "able to make a choice on your own" in the latest teaser clip of her interview with Oprah Winfrey.

In the new clip, Meghan recalls a previous conversation with Winfrey in which she said she would not be able to take part in an interview with her.

"I couldn't have said yes then - that wasn't my choice to make," Meghan says

"As an adult who lived a really independent life to then go into this construct that is different than I think what people imagine it to be - it's really liberating to be able to have the right and privilege in some way to be able to say yes... to be able to just make a choice on your own and be able to speak for yourself."

Imagine harry had thirty five years approx of being gagged and had to watch lie after lie printed , no wonder he wants his say now

Sounds to me like she thought being a royal would be like some sort of Disney fairytale, and not a life of (incredibly privileged) public service in what is essentially a gilded open prison with 24 hr surveillance. I've personally never had any of my doors smashed in by a prince, but even I can figure out that life in the monarchy is a double edged sword with big strings attached. Maybe she provides a much needed escape from that for Harry and I don't doubt they love each other, but she must be thick as mince or very naive if anything she's whinging about now came as a surprise.

The Netflix employees, the duke and duchess of Sussex can do whatever they want to do, all they need to do is give up their royal titles and privileges.

They have no privileges , the cant use the title and it is something only the queen can take back , they are harry and meghan now
