Most of the outrage seems to come from across the pond. Another lavish wedding somewhere down the line and they’ll soon get behind the institution again.

As a PR move though it will work wonders for them, they'll get their own shows, book deals etc.

This is a great launchpad for drawing a line under their old life to start a new one let's put it that way.

They already have the deals , they have their foundation and charities , they are not doing a reality show or anything else like this

He could give a blessing I suppose but he couldn’t marry them without witnesses and Harry said "just the 3 of us"

So we need to wait for Welby to issue a statement and confirm or deny the marriage.

If they were already married they should payback the £35 million the taxpayer spent


This is the perfect couple for the Scientologist to get their claws into.
 
He said Charles asked for him to put his plan "in writing", adding: "I put all the specifics in there, even the fact that we were planning on putting the announcement out on the 7th of January."

Asked why his father had stopped taking his calls, Harry said: "Because I took matters... by that point I'd took matters into my own hands.

"It was, like, I needed to do this for my family. This is not a surprise to anybody. It's really sad that it's got to this point."

Harry and Meghan stopped using the HRH titles and receiving public money from 31 March 2020.

Speaking about his father, Harry said: "I feel really let down because he's been through something similar, he knows what pain feels like, (and) Archie's his grandson.

"But at the same time - I will always love him - but there's a lot of hurt that's happened and I will continue to make it one of my priorities to try and heal that relationship

Meghan on her father and half-sister
"There was such an obsession about anything in my world including finding out about my parents and I did everything to protect him," she said.

She cites a headline which stated "We found him. We've got him" and said journalists moved in across the road from Thomas Markle in the small town he lived in.

"The whole thing brings us to where we are today."

She says her father denied he had sold his story to the papers.

"I look at Archie and I genuinely can't imagine him doing anything to intentionally cause pain to my child. I can't imagine it so it's hard for me to reconcile that."

Meghan says her mother has retained "silent dignity" for four years to protect her.

On her half-sister Samantha Markle, she says it's hard to write a "tell all" book when you don't know someone.

She says the last time she saw her was 18 or 19 years ago and that Meghan grew up as an only child. She says she changed her last name back to Markle when Meghan "started dating Harry".
 
In a newly released clip, Winfrey asks the couple if anyone said they were sorry that they'd felt they had to leave the UK.
Harry says: "No, sadly not, the feeling is this was our decision therefore the consequences are on us.

"And despite three years of asking for help and visualising how this might end. It's been really hard because I am part of the system with them, I always have been. I've been very aware that my brother can't leave the system but I have."


He says he couldn't speak for William and whether he wants to leave but that he will "always be there for him".

Harry explains that it was a toxic environment and while his father "had made peace with it", they wouldn't. The couple say it was different for them because of the race, social media and the fact that Meghan was American.

"It was like the Wild, Wild West," Meghan says.

She says "rude and racist is not the same" and their experiences couldn't be compared to Kate Middleton's when she joined the family.

He has always felt it was a personally burdensome institution and seems to infer he felt it was/is a gilded cage. I wouldn't be surprised if he feels he is doing the rest of his family a favour by bringing it down.
 
Diana was shit on and hounded out must of been a right fuckin kick in the bollocks when she ended up with Dodi, Best thing the two of them could of done is get out of that hellhole.
