Just watching the spurs highlights and noticed Alderweireld going off injured. If he is out for a while thats a huge loss for them.

They looked like a team that didn't seem to want to play for the manager.

They were shockingly bad for such a group of talented players.

Real Madrid are a very good side, but not as good as they have been
A bit like us, they've let players go on too long and to me it looks like the manager is not disciplining them enough (shades of Pellegrini)
To stay as one of the best teams in Europe they really need to freshen up that squad

Last night they created opportunities and missed some pretty unmissable chances.
But at the back they were a shambles

I have absolutely no idea how Real or Spurs performed, as I didn't watch the game. I can only go by the result. My post was a pun on a poster's use of the word 'raining' (instead of 'reigning').

Both teams had practically qualified from the group anyway. Don’t see the big deal about this result.

Yep no pressure on either team in this game both were going to qualify. Funny Kane plays spurs win Kane don’t play spurs don’t win it’s the Harry Kane team.

It’s a pretty big deal in one way considering Real Madrid have been on a long unbeaten streak, have never lost to Spurs and last lost to an English team in 2009. So they should be buzzing but as you say you could also argue that it’s no big deal, Real finished 2nd to Dortmund last year and went on to win the trophy.

They looked like Everton and I’m not even sure most of them are fully fit. Marcelo made Trippier look like Cafu yesterday.

Real and Barca are not the teams from 3 or 4 years ago , they have weakened and their players have got older , but you wouldnt know that , the Rags rarely get in the Champs league nowadays , unless there is a route through the back door by winning a mickey mouse trophy

Hmm, not really thought about it. I’m staying low about our deal for the OS so no complaints from me....
I do love the fact their fans are not bothered there out the league cup (only chance of them winning a trophy) but are delirious about qualifying from the group stage of the champions league (where they have zero hope of winning it)
