Most of it is just a case of circumstance. Cruise was in the area because he was doing his Jack Reacher promotion and wanted to see the derby, the Hoff, as was said, had a day off and wanted to watch football. Probably would have gone to see the Scum if the fixtures were reversed.

And Timothy Dalton, as is well known, has always been a City fan and is always welcome.

As far as the producers were concerned Dalton was still the main man in 1994 , it was only during that year that he said , for certain , that he wouldn't be doing it anymore ....... the producers had been in negotiations with him during 1993 to renew his contract , but he then surprised everyone in April 1994 by quitting !

Just had a good gawp at Mrs Hoff on MOTD. Those tight leather trousers. I've got that feeling I used to get shinning up the rope in PE (although a couple of City Chippy meals wouldn't go amiss on her).
