Hello and welcome bumbleblue

A fine choice mate
Having a session on that now
And that's what it is a real session ale at 4% abv

Normally retailing at £22.00 for 40 pints but can be your by going to Wilkinson for the princely discount sum of £14.00
That's 35 pence a pint

Top reviews and a Camra real ale kit winner.
An Excellent introduction to home brew pal.

If you need any advice on materials required to brew it then just ask any one on here

All the best
Taxi;

Thanks Taxi Ok you know me next quezzy...what do I need big bucket ,barrel thingy ,??? Just seen some stuff on wilkis website..

OK happy to help.

Lets keep it nice and simple for you and as cheap as we can.
Once you have purchased your initial brew equipment then your good to go.
And the equipment if looked after will brew you thousands of gallons.

Buy the Woodford wherry

Then you will need the following which are all reduced on sale at Wilkinson.

Brew bucket about the £7 mark. You will need two of these
Paddle to stir =pennies
Hydrometer to check the brews gravity but this is not absolutely necessary for
kit form but I would advise you get one. = A few quid
Temperature thermometer a few quid
Don't buy bottles for your brew but go to Tesco and buy 11 2ltr bottles of Tesco STILL spring water.
This will do for your mix instead of chlorinated tap water and then you will use these bottles to store your brew.
You can prime your batch with ordinary sugar as the amount required is minimal
And you will require a siphon tube or a tap on your bucket
And last but not least sterilizing powder or tablets about £4 but will last for ages

This 3.0 kg twin can boxed beer kit is the second in a planned new range of beer kits made in conjunction with the world renowned brewery - St Peters

Originally produced to quench the thirst of British troops in the 1800’s, IPA was brewed highly- hopped and robust to survive the long voyage to the Indian sub-continent. The result is a full bodied pale ale with a zesty character.

Taximania is the main man lol
You've charmed me, and I promise that I will be trying this in the very near future!!
I quite like the sound of the IPA now : )
It's a shame I don't really like wine, as my house is probably the warmest fucking place on the entire Earth ha ha!!
Doesn't matter what time of year it is, it's baking hot!!!
Maybe I could rent my loft out to a wine producer?? ££££££ kerching idea moment??

: )

No Garry stay with the Wherry.
Drinking my eighth pint now and it is absolutely delicious beyond words.
Not blowing my own trumpet because I never made it really.
I just tipped the gubbins in the bin and added the Peckham spring water
I do wish I could send you over a pint though through the Ethernet
One day maybe.

Nice chatting with you pal
All the lads on here will help you out if you need any advice.
Cracking set of lads on this thread.
Tiny has brewed loads too and can point you in the right direction.
Check out Craigtube too for lots of inspiration.

So it's 5 weeks total, or am I missing something?

Also, St. Johns, or St. Peters as in the photo? :p

Thanks taxi, I will certainly take a good look over this thread in the next week or so.

As per gazinho tho, this house always stays hot/warm, will that affect it much?

Top man, thanks for the reply and hopefully next one.

Took Taxi's advice and went for the Wherry Bitter.
£14 from Wilkos....good evening gentlemen ; )

I'm looking to get a winter warmer on the go soon, currently have a pilsner brewing which in eager to try as well as 2 different wines. The hobby is insanely addictive, just enjoy it buddy and watch plenty of YouTube videos; Craig tube.
