Yeh that was pitch black on a Sunday wasn't it.
When we were 2-0 up at half time a couple of years ago winning the league. Last year as well.
13/14. Sunday 22/09/13: 16:00
15/16. Sunday 20/03/16: 16:00
17/18. Saturday 07/04/18 17:30
18/19. Sunday 11/11/18: 16:30
In 2014 (14/15) and all the seasons from 03/04 to 12/13 the weekend games were all played before 3pm and the 2 midweek games at 8pm as was the Thursday game in April 2017.
There have been no league derby games that kicked off at 3pm at COMS/ Etihad Stadium.
Usually it’s the police not wanting a load of pissed up idiots fighting, hence the early starts, however, since City have been in the ascendancy it appears that GMP have succumbed to the demands of TV or the games have been moved due to us still being in every competition going.
Hope that helps fella. Info available on world football.net
I was bored and had nowt better to do.
There are no other games with potential top 8 playing one another. The only other rivalries are:
Villa vs Leicester
West Ham vs Arsenal
So you can bet that the Derby will be moved to Sunday 8th at 4pm/ 4:30pm
Will the food be getting cooked on an Aga at this doo then?
No mate I remember it well most definitely green same as always.
It’s beaten only by @Ric’s new MCFC history section. I mean, WTF’s that all about?
Memory playing tricks on me again :-)
Incidentally, the Maine Road derby on March 20th 1993 kicked off at 11am and unless I’m very much mistaken that remains the earliest ever kick-off in the Premier League era
