No doubt many on here have ridden one, seen one or even is aware of them - the Cub hit 100m units in 2017 ( see Top Gear ) and is the backbone of transport in so many countries and its coming to an end - the end of an era you might say of the twist and go moped

I have loved that bike since school, our Technical Drawing teacher who had always been a right bastard and never affraid to use the cane had some sort of mental breakdown & when he came back to school to teach again after having a rest the Technical Drawing lessons consisted of the class taking turns to ride around the school yard on a Honda Cub (step through shopping machine)
We Never knew where he got the bike from or why non of the other teachers questioned what was going on? but I was happy because I hated Technical drawing & it set me on a lifetime of riding motorbikes & trying not to follow the normal rules :-)

A brilliant design that got the world moving again after the last world war. Unfortunately, the "yooth" want sexy boy racer machines with sponsor logos all over them.
I think it's always been like that. They were never 'cool' anywhere and were sold as cheap reliable transport and many of the people who bought them in the past have moved on to four wheels as cars have become cheaper and they can afford them. It's a true survivor from the days when the alternative was a pushbike.
