The idiocy (and selfishness) of panic buying

Just bought the whole stock of Izil from Sainsbury’s, needs must got a lot of tracing to be doing when self isolating
You planning to burn it to stay warm? Kitchen foil or clingfilm would be better for wiping your arse than that.

Mother inlaw isn't the most proactive of people, but she's managed to get herself into a position of having hardly any basic supplies and now too worried to go out for them. Apparently she called in a couple of shops earlier this week and couldn't get loo paper, potatoes, beans etc, so she left it. She's definitely in the high risk category too.

Having to run round there with some stuff, hope the shops restock soon. Hopefully those who did panic buy are now realising that this is a marathon and not a sprint, the peak hasn't yet arrived. Even more so, snapping up all the stocks now just creates problems for those who can't get out and about as easily.

Twenty two mile round trip on a Friday night, once the kids are asleep, even prime now is completely booked up. Crazy.

I've been off work, fattening up for the last few weeks. At least the cat will be able to eat well until the paramedics kick the door in.
Keeping a close eye on this thread. A big indicator of how things are going will be if folk start to wipe their arses on cats and then eat them (the cats, not the arses)

I shopped today to reduce the amount of times I have to go out over the next couple of weeks. Stocks were ok other than liquid soap, toilet paper, pasta and flour. Flour? Folk must be into baking as they self isolate. Folk still not getting it. One young Tesco lad sneezed over the fruit he was packing onto the trays. I tried nicely to explain to him why this was very wrong. Blank stare. I used my trolley as a one metre exclusion zone.
