The idiocy (and selfishness) of panic buying

Me and Mrs flyer are considered at risk due to our age and other health issues, but can't even buy essentials like loo roll, bread, milk etc presumably because of panic buying. Hope it fucking chokes you.

I fully understand if you're buying for relatives etc that you would appear to be being selfish when you're actually doing something sensible.

With these infections coming around every couple of years, I've always thought that we should have some sort of ID card that is only active during times such as these which can be scanned at the checkout and can limit people in the same household to certain amounts of goods per week to stop this happening and bollocks to individuals privacy. People will be starving while others have tons of stuff.

I've had an email from those nice people at Lidl. This is a snippet for those canutes who still feel they need to buy every last crumb of bread and every last drop of milk: Please be assured that there is sufficient stock for everyone. We are continually monitoring sales and increasing supply on products that are experiencing high sales volumes. And, our warehouses are full, with our stores receiving deliveries every day!

Have you anybody who can help you out mate?
If I wasn’t in my sick bed I’d gladly go to 50 shops and get you your essentials
and leave them at your door.
Are you Mcr area?

The super markets round our way are looking very thin, they get their deliveries in at six in the morning and they're stripped bare of essentials in no time at all.

If you find any proper milk you can freeze it,online shopping is including milk

I have everything i need now except for my medications, the surgery is strugglung to get those done. I have set up some neighbours with online shopping, one of my elderly neighbours was crying to me down the phone,i was desperate to go round and give her a hug, lack of human contact is a huge problem already,i went and put some chocolate biscuits through the door and promised her a massive hug as soon as i find out if i am immune now or not, getting that answer is proving hard
Lovely gesture, Karen.

Being a blue isn't the only thing great about you.
