The idiocy (and selfishness) of panic buying

Just back from morrisons bristol,Twats had cleared the place the freezers all empty, and the usual loo rolls bread etc.Alcohol aisle not a can or bottle of lager or cider to be seen. On a plus note these southern softies don't like mushy peas as there was a large stash of them in the empty aisle. We have some really selfish twats stockpiling. I can't see how they could possibly restock the store for tomoz.

I think the stores are keeping stuff back, they must be. No point putting the stock they would ordinarily put on the shelves during as the lunatics would just take it before it was out of the cage

That's my theory, I'm not ITK on this one(or much, really)

Now I am off gonna nip to the shops in the morning for a couple of items, hoping I can just get them with no nonsense amd the idiots being out in force.

A basket full at most

Genuinely getting ridiculous seeing all of the empty shelves.

A strong message needs to be sent out that there is enough food for everyone.

I think they should ration every item to 1 per customer, either that or everyone gets a ration book and they have to use that.

Hoping its just a phase and it all starts to die down when people see they have too much at home.

Limiting customers to one of every item won't work because people will just go from store to store. I'm with you on the ration book, see my previous post on an ID card used only in emergencies

Genuinely now wonder what going in for a few things is gonna be like, despite the resteictions morrisons near us still had people waiting for it to open.

I just want to pop in get some meat, veg to last the next few days muffins, beer and vimto and eggs.

Cannot be arsed with knobheads running about like it's supermarket sweep

That's what colour chickens are when they grow naturally and eat a diet of corn. The pasty white ones (that you normally see hundreds of) are that colour because they've been force grown in a mass production facility. It's not how a chicken should look.

It's also why those "yellow" ones are dearer, it costs far more to rear them.

You need to try one sometime, they actually taste of something!
there is a corny Hep C joke in there somewhere.

Good luck with your lock down bud and stay safe. I'm off out after 2 days inside in half an hour to queue at Tescos for a few bits and like you am dreading the dregs of humanity running round greedily hoovering everything up.
Cat food
Bog roll if poss
Chocolate and crisps
I refuse full stop to fight for these items, if I get them then I get them.

I last went in the shops on sunday, morrisons near me not my prefered shop but as it it walking distance and so I avoided buses it will do.

I walked round with a basket getting a normal shop while everyone had trolleys full, they all probably thought I was the crazy one, at one point I was in the soap area pondering whether to get one of the last three soap bar pack of 4 as the only thing left and had some hovering around wiating to pounce on the rest as soon as I shifted, I could have been a **** and picked up all three to piss them off, but I don't need them so why bother.

Same as you when I go up later will get what I can hoefully some stuff will be stocked and peopemwill have given consideration to the elderly getting priority this morning request.

Yesterday was day 3 of trying to get some stuff our 16 month old will actually eat in my 'window' between me getting home and Wife going back to the hospital to work night shift. Result was I bought a packet of fucking crisps.

People like you people are keeping us going bud and I thank you for that, the selfishness the public are displaying is beyond the pale. It was easy for me today because most of the stuff on sale I can eat but feeding children must be a lot harder in this environment.

Again and I mean this sincerely thank your wife and yourself from me and mine, I thanked the checkout staff this morning too because without them we wouldn't be getting fed.

I’m going out later and don’t mind picking up bits if it helps out .
Plus, it’s cathartic to point at the knobheads in store buying dried pasta .
Im sure this could be a wake up css as ll if other people want to help out too .

I need to pick up some celery smoked salmon and bangles later I'm hoping to god its not all sold out #frustratedfromlangley
