Some support on Twatter on their decision to leave the party, in that they're thankful that they are gone.
Not a surprise at all. What will be interesting is to see if this is the end of it, dummies have been spat, and they've gone, or this is the start of more people resigning. They have only resigned the party and not formed a new one.
Will be fun to see how they vote in parliament.
It is the expected 7 though and so doubt the leadership cares was known they were going.
An "Independent group of MP's". Not a party, but will all vote the same way together and support the same issues, presumably.

I'm not so sure you know. I think we're moving away from the days of a single party holding power (I'm expecting to see a similar split in the Tory party at some point soon) so it's going to be coalitions.Christ alive, it doesn't get any better for centrists does it? That is a proper bunch of reprobates. What was Angela Smith on about?
I have a great deal of respect and sympathy for Berger, I think she's a very good mp who has received terrible abuse online.
But they can all fuck right off. They've just handed the Conservatives power for the next few years when they should be at their most vulnerable.

I was more thinking Labour MPs as opposed to Tory, but I'm also expecting a Tory split at some point. It might be the ERG lot, or Soubry's lot, or both, but it's all a bit up in the air at the moment. Brexit and Corbyn have managed to really fuck up both parties.tbf Jon I think soubry and those tories thinking about it have gone, nah and left these stitched up, too late to stop going and no one else willing to risk it, hence why no new party just a coalition of like minded independants.
Might change and more join, but telling that those ex Lab MPs like the sexpest in barrow haven't been asked to show support or join there group.
What's the benefit of that to their constituents? If they aren't an electable party, with a clear party remit, what alternative are they giving the electorate? Seems a half hearted move to me but maybe it's the first step towards something bigger ie forming a new party or ousting Corbyn?
