I though the answer would be easy tbh given the name.

Its just another political empty can then?

Yes.

Right now the Tories in the shires are conspiring to get rid of May, they want Johnson. Simultaneously the Cameron/Blairite Tory MPs are conspiring to ensure that Johnson doesn't make one of the two slots on the leadership ballot, so the shires won't get the chance to vote for him.

If Johnson makes the ballot he'll win, because shire Tories like their politics red in tooth and claw and covered in a thick dollop of right wing fantasy.

If Johnson does become PM, the Cameron/Blairite Tory MPs will be doomed, probably suffer de-selection, but dead in the water either way, so they'll jump ship to the Chukka "Call me Dave", Third Way, Toothy Grin Party, but it'll be a brief respite, as they'll get annihilated at the next election.

If Labour comes out for a second EU referendum after the local elections, then the ChangeMyArse party won't even have the Remain fig leaf to cover their vacuousness.

They'll end up as a minor footnote in the history of this shambolic period.

Why would you do that?

My reasoning is that I can't vote for Corbyns Labour, as a Remainer its a definitive no. If they pivoted to a 2nd ref and became a remain party than I would consider it but I really dislike Corbyn and the toxic hard left crowd that has followed him into Labour. Obviously all the leave parties are out.

Lib Dems are just not making any ground, they have no momentum or drive and lack personalities.

Greens are ok but at a GE they are a wasted vote as they are a millions miles away from taking seats outside Brighton. I want a party I can vote for at the next GE.

Change.uk therefore become my default option - and my MPs is a Change.uk MP so I'm going to get behind them.

I agree but less of the Blairite nonsense.

Blair’s domestic politics were a force for massively improved living standards in this country and Cameron the opposite.

We get it, you don’t like Blair but you cannot tag him to the Tory party.

Good post.

Sounds like it is a "Tory lite" or "Liberal Pro" party then?

Which will split the Tory vote in half.

The Conservatives are in a bit of a spot at the moment aren't they?

Tories will become the brexit party who will in turn become UKIP who will become the new BNP. They will split the leave vote at the next GE which is fine by me.

Corbyn is on the downaward spiral now. He lost one GE and will lose the next if he is still there - Remainers don't trust him.

There’s no chance of him losing the next one - Labour are in a much better position than 12 and 24 months ago and are going the opposite way.

Right now British politics is a Mexican stand off. Both major parties are in danger of splitting. The Tories are in worse shape than Labour, but that does not mean they will split sooner. The splits in the Tory Party are well known and are on display every day, but even the ERG lunatics know that ideological purity in the wilderness is cold comfort compared to being in office (if barely in power).

Labour has been split since the day Corbyn was elected, huge chunks of the PLP act as if Corbyn (and the membership) don't exist. Watson, the titular deputy leader, makes speeches on a daily basis for which he has no authority at all, urging the party to do X, Y and Z as if he were on the outside pissing in, which of course he is.

Much of the reason why May hangs on, is because she is hoping the Labour party will implode before her party does and Corbyn continues with his Euro fudge for much the same reason, he never forgets to mention that a second referendum is somewhere on the table, because the membership demands it as does a whole chunk of Labour support (even if Corbyn himself has difficulty finding it on this mythical table under all his other preferred fantastical options).

If I had to choose I'd say the Tories will implode before Labour, because the clock is ticking faster for May than it is for Corbyn.

Corbyn has played a poor hand well, his poll numbers are up and while there are Labour MPs who despise him they'll keep their council and go with the flow.

PS: The Change group are not just a bunch of cosy moderates, Here is BBC hawk Gavin Esler announcing his candidacy, I don't know about you but he sounds a sinister little fucker to me....

Scroll down, the video is half way down the page...
