The inevitable wobble

Prior to the Tottenham game we were on 50 points with Chelsea on 49. A fair prediction for the next 3 would have been for us to get 5 points (draws with Spurs, Chelsea and a win at Norwich) while Chelsea get 7 (wins versus West Ham and Newcastle and a draw with us) . As it happens , Chelsea have got their 7 and we are a point down so Chelsea are 2 rather than the 1 point ahead of us that they might have been.
The sad thing, of course, is that having beaten Spurs with Chelsea drawing with West Ham we had the opportunity to carve out a 6 point lead with two wins. The opportunity was missed but others will come. For example, the next five games will, I think, see us with 15 points. During Chelsea's next 5 games they play Everton and Tottenham as well as Fulham and WBA away. I believe that at least 2 of these games will be drawn giving us a 2 point advantage. We then go into the final 8 games and, yes we do have difficult run in with away games at Arsenal, Liverpool and Everton but with any kind of luck we will go into these games with - Hart, Zabaletta, Kompany, Demechelis, Clichy, Toure, Fernandinho, Nasri, Silva, Aguero, Negrado. An invincible team of champions.
Keep the faith.
