I swear on my entire families life that he won a load of heards/chesters in the first 20 minutes of the second half 100% fact. You must of either looked aways for a second to talk to someone, or somthing distracted you and you missed it, or you were sat in a bad position to view them.

Or ignored them.

cmon guys i saw the match and every time i saw him try to chest the ball an everton midfielder nicked the ball off him. he also played too deep by far. lone striker HAS to play as far up the pitch as possible. coming short all the time just makes it easy for the opponents. I still like Jo, he has good skills, jumps well, and has a bit of imagination. but on saturday, we were much worse in the second half when he came on, and he has to take his share of the blame for that.

For me Jo isn't a striker he's a classic Centre forward, but with loads of technique & tricks, that's struggling atm. Hes either struggling with the language/culture or his confidence has gone maybe even both. We need to get that sorted though because once we do i can see him scoring loads of goals for us.

I agree with you there. Take a look at this and expecially the 2 goal.

he's not a centre forward! he plays for brazil as second striker.

I know where you are coming from, but he needs to put on some bulk and play further up the pitch. He could make a superb centreforward then, but he hasn't been one so far in his career!
