The Keeper - Trautmann film Sunday 5th Sept on BBC

Apologies if I’ve misunderstood but I took this as Rivers saying he was: “For those that remember the old Maine road the CGi of the ground is fantastic and you can imagine the boardroom being like that when Swales was in charge”

Maybe he meant it hadn’t changed.
Sorry, just me being pedantic !!!

Yes really good film. My only slight criticism is that there wasn't much time devoted to Bert's childhood and wartime years. This is covered brilliantly in Catrine Clay's book. Then again, you could probably make another film about that!

That's an absolutely top read. Young UN's should definitely read it together with the Gary James books.
Small correction but Swales wasn’t in charge at that point. I remember Bert and it was well before that halfwit ruined the club, maybe 10 years after Trautmann retired did Swales come in?
Yep, I know Swales wasn't in charge but it looks just the same as when he was appointing John Bond in that TV documentary in 1980, if memory serves.

Nonsense. I doubt that Bob Smith, Walter Smith, Alan Douglas, etc. ever had a comb over or wore cuban heels?
