It's absurd, isn't it? And yet, the reasoning in this classic sketch isn't satire. That is literally why our unelected head of state continues to lord it over us. And millions still lap it up and bow at his bejewelled feet; albeit, millions with severely constricted mental capacity.

In fairness, that was the whole reason there's a Church of England in the first place. Someone he's not related to spotted a better bird and wanted some, although clearly Charles had defective eyesight at the time he went down that path.
