The King is Dead, Long Live the King !

I have read all the threads over the last few days without comment as I like to read the widely differing opinions of my fellow Blues about everything to do with City.
I wanted Roberto to stay and and am appalled by the club for the way they have dealt with the last fews days.

A great big thanks to Roberto for some great memories/great football and for showing Taggart what dignity and class actually are.

Having said all that I am a City fan and agree completely with the topic`s subject.

The club is the most important thing of all,not any one person ,so lets get behind the club and the new manager.

What I hope is our new manager will turn us into team, cause now we look mostly like bunch of overpaid individuals without a game plan whatsoever. I want that closing down players, pressing as a team etc.

President set. Bunch of wankers..the fans will vent there fury, these Arabs haven't seen our nasty side yet.watch them squirm.god help the new manager because he's going to get a rough ride.

Some would suggest you are thick as two short, a wanker, and need to fuck off, but they would be in violation of the COC.

I, on the other hand, think you have every right to express your inner man.

Inner child more like, what an ass!!!

Its truly shit what's happened to the manager and we've enjoyed a descent three years with him but a dessision has been made and he is gone, I like Bobby manc and wish him well but we as a club must move on as one and hope the new manager is the right one to move us to the next level, its a fookin ruthless game at the top and the top is where we wanna get back to so here is hoping the new man is the right man....long live the king....

The king is dead, long live the king!

I can't be the only one who's already looking forward to having a new manager. I'm sure the board are very capable in appointing a competent manager.

Eeeez futbol.. eeez deefikult

Thank you for directing Hollywood-style ending 2012 season and memorable 1:6 at OT !!

It's now time for a club to elect a leader who will motivate ALL players to give their sweat and blood (Tevez and Zaba) every game so that outcomes of games like FA Cup final never repeat again. It's time for a new manager to discover best possible cut for all of our diamond players so that each of them shines in their best possible way on that pitch... Unfortunately Mancini couldn't do that for us and owners/Board realized Roberto's limitations.. better sooner than later

We are still truly a joke of a club! I thought we had seen the last of the revolving door!
Pisses me off big time.

Actually mate the only thing you've done is reveal your own opinion about City. Enjoyed the Americanism at the end btw.

The drama queens are out in force. Anyone want an onion to go with that candlelight vigil? Cheese with that whine?

^^^this, too many on here over the last few days and tonight they have been joined by the journo snakes and schoolboy rags

Clearly things could have been dealt with better (obvious understatement).

Firstly we are not Chelsea. I think I am right in saying he was the 4th longest serving manager in the league. Feel free to correct me, the precise position is irrelevant to the point that this was not knee-jerk.

I would have happily continued with Mancini for next season but it is clear from the outside looking in that he has lost important elements of the dressing room. I don't think we are aware to what extent it had deteriorated yet either. I await those stories over the next few weeks.

Some of my sympathy for him is lost (but not all) in remembering the circumstances in which he took over. Whilst the suggestion of him being in the stadium is false, he had agreed to take over whilst Hughes was still in charge. Whilst we had drawn too many games, we had only lost twice and got to a semi final for the first time in my lifetime. Had Hughes not earned the right to see the season out? Well in my opinion no, but there are comparable similarities between then and now. In the end the board made the right decision.

Why do many feel they deserve the right to argue with this decision? You can argue we wouldnt have won the FA Cup in 2011, or the League last year without Mancini but I offer you a 100% guarantee we wouldnt have won them without Sheik Mansour. Without him we may not exist. I have 100% trust in him and the board to make the right decision and if they believe this is the way forward, I support it fully. Some comments on here are preposterous.

Mancini has contributed in providing me with some of the best moments of my life and that can never be taken away. He has my eternal gratitude and admiration and I wish him luck wherever he goes.

Stop flapping. More amazing memories will come.

This!!!

Great post my friend.

By the sounds of it, the new manager will be more of a coach and deal less with signings. I would assume they'll say yes or no to potential signings but it will be the uppers at the club sorting everything out with the manager just managing the players we have.

I hope people do back him though. We are city fans not Mancini fans!
