We could make it a nice little earner and call it the 'PEP SI STAND'.When he eventually leaves...it has to become the Pep Guardiola stand.

There are hundreds of blues that still call it The Kippax and /or Kippax corner. We even still chant it on occasion.
Who made you the arbiter of this? It’s a fine line between remembering, marking and respecting your club’s past and living in it.
Calling any of the stands at the Etihad ‘the Kippax’ would be doing the latter.
And which Kippax would we be naming it after?
Top idea...........are you watching City?I knew you guys did that and fair play to you. Im all for carrying on the stories of the past without living in the past. What do you think of the idea of the whole East Stand being renamed 'The Kippax'? and the whole lower tier becoming safe standing with a view to the upper tier being safe standing at some point? The East stand is even located on 'Kippax Cresent" . With the club clearly looking for more tourists I think it would be great to allocate a whole side of the ground (like the kippax) to our hard-core/ legacy fans. No tourists allowed. Would look great on TV too.
I’m not the arbiter of anything and nor have I held myself out to be.Who made you the arbiter of this?
How do you define it? What are the parameters?

(won't ever happen, especially the halfway line area.....top prices for them tickets dontcha know.)

It’s simply my opinion, on a forum.
You weird wee ****.
fk me, is this still going?
Like you have here, you mean? It's not weird. You commented like an arbiter.
Wiki can be edited by anyone iirc…rags having a giraffeProbably because we don't want connecting with Leeds and West Yorkshire.
Here's a gem from Google.
- The Kippax (Football):
The Kippax is also the name of a stand at Manchester United's Old Trafford stadium, named after Kippax Street, which in turn was named after the town of Kippax, West Yorkshire.

The early leavers standI once imagined what all four stands of our stadium would be called if we'd always been based at the Eastlands site instead of Hyde Road/Maine Road.

North Stand Construction Discussion
Nothing until Monday from me im afraid I'm pretty sure we can all survive a few days guys, plus not much changes every day. I feel for you both sometimes, the monster you created with the need now taken for granted that you guys do this in your spare time and for the joy of it. Great stuff...forums.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk
‘Weird wee ****’ to be precise.I won't now get defensive and call you a weird ****.
That was a question aimed at City staffI think it could, and things like it could happen if the fans with vision met the club people with vision and had a creative discussion. There currently seems to be a huge disconnect in that regard.
I watch City yeah.
Why was the Kippax Stand named after a village in the Leeds area? Why was the Platt Lane stand named as such when it was nowhere near Platt Lane?
