I went Peacock St school and then Wright Robbie. Mate of mines Dad ran The Chapel House near Hildas Cafe.the Nelson was our local always in there and the Vale also went in the Gardeners a lot
We used to get pissed in there often aged around 14 ha His daft Dad left us alone in the pub ffs

Sounds about right, also went to the Dolphin cafe Hyde Rd end of Cross StWent in those pubs 73,74,75.
My nan & grandad used to tell me it wasnt called the Kippax years ago, cant remember but was it called the popular side or something?my apologies.(80 by the way.1949\50 first game with me dad.)

8015 v Swindon in 1965. We lost 2-1, Buzzer scored for Swindon. Freezing day.Walked under there from 62 till it was pulled down was in 63,000 crowds and also 8,000 crowds for League games.

Yes was at the game,lot of people don't know but we had another 8,000 League game attendance that season think it was v Charlton towards end of season.8015 v Swindon in 1965. We lost 2-1, Buzzer scored for Swindon. Freezing day.
