The Labour Government

Adults that ignore and lie about an Important issue before the election, even though it was easily apparent, and then use the issue for political purposes at the earliest opportunity?

That sort of adult? I think you need a better riposte.
If it was easily apparent why didn't the Tories tell us about it? Why were they proposing tax cuts?

I bet the rat faced **** is feeling a bit daft now. Labour had a plan all along!

MP's voting with their conscience over an issue that they clearly feel strongly =performative theatrics.

3 weeks pretending that Reeves is going through the books with a fine tooth comb only to reveal what has been in the public domain for months. Not performative just adults doing adult things.

I see that Reeves has started the bullshit about being surprised by the implied spending cuts in non-protected departmental budgets from 2025 onwards, even though this has already been widely signalled for months now, not least by the OBR.

Indeed the whole concept of the necessity for the Treasury to perform an audit of public spending pressures is entirely false, and simply part of her ruse.

She’s even got the neck on her to say that Monday’s statement will provide ‘honesty’ on the issue, after spending the whole election campaign pretending that the issue didn’t exist. Quite embarrassing to be frank.
Reeves has never in her time pre shaddow cabinet of durimg shie away from espousing her austerity beliefs.

Anyone paying attention knew this was coming so it is not a big shock or evidence of pre election lying on her part, as she has openly been suggesting public spending caps and cuts for over a decade and is known as no friend of the poor or disadvantaged.

The incompetence of the shitgibbons previously in power fucking up our finance has helped her drive her ideology into being

Spending pressures in non-protected departments were signalled in the March Budget, and therefore required an amended spending profile if they were to be avoided. It was government policy, and obvious to anyone who cared to read the documents.

The OBR actually provided additional analysis on how spending cuts planned one, two years ahead typically fail to emerge in a comprehensive spending review, thereby requiring additional funding. This point was also made by groups such as the IFS in the run up to the election.

So, after completely ignoring this issue in the run up to the election, do you think it’s credible for Reeves to say that she’s now about to provide an honest assessment of the public finances?
