I'm not eligible for it, neither are my 93 year old father and 86 year old mother. It's a bit of a strange philosophy. Cut the winter fuel payment unless you claim pension credit.

If the country is skint then obviously tough decisions will need making. Maybe we are looking at the dismantling of the welfare state as we know it? A necessary tough love or a vindictive attack on perceived Tory voters?

I’d have phased the WFP out as and when our extra renewable wind and solar farms were online, reducing the cost of energy.
