The Labour Government

so you are an MP and threatened in the street - or in your constituency office - are you suggesting that you take the first knife blow before you throw a punch? You know - to make it fair - make sure the nutter plays his/her hand before you defend yourself?
Of course, you don’t have to wait to get thumped before you throw a punch in self defence. However the continued attack whilst the bloke is on the floor is not self defence-unless there is something we cannot see or comes from witness accounts-inc possession of a weapon/threat of or perhaps knowledge of some fighting skills-all v unlikely but self defence is a subjective honestly held belief not a third person, objective test.

See for example two jags.

Fucking twat.

It's the kind of thing I'd expect to See 30p Lee doing on a normal Saturday night in his constituency.

Deserves the book throwing at home and a recall for his seat if the allegations are proven.
Looks bad but will hold off on judgement for now he had a stalker convicted last year, Stephen Cowell similar age and build to fella on floor nit saying it's him but will hang fire for now.

Penalties for assault and battery are quite modest in this country even if you are convicted. Plead provocation or threat in mitigation and the peeled onions come out in court. You quite likely end up with £50 from the poor box.

There was obviously some provocation but to do that was completely wrong. I’m amazed that somebody didn’t twat him for what he did, instead taking a camera out to film it, which is probably the right thing to do as others were breaking it up.
