The Labour Government

People say benefit fraud is peanuts on here but by the government's own figures it's £7.3billion. And as others have pointed out could be a lot higher. That is clearly a lot of money and to suggest otherwise is nonsense.

Is that fraud only or does it include mistakes by DWP for overpayments, or honest mistakes by people claiming?
 
No-one has ever said to cut benefit fraud to fund tax cuts for the rich. Only a Toryboy on Bluemoon.
It’s a great idea and it’s not really the rich paying the higher rate of tax now; they pay the additional rate.

Or as @ganganvince says, reinstate the WFA and raise it to 1k. Pensioners wouldn’t have to go to the library to keep warm then, as you so compassionately suggested.
