The Labour Government

I'm not a fan of Angela Rayner, she's my MP and Ashton is an absolute shit hole and she is not doing too much to improve things here. I'm not even sure she would be elected if she stands again.

However, I do believe this is a full on witch hunt orchestrated by some very wealthy people with big links to the media and the Tory's and Reform. She may have done wrong, lets wait for the outcome. People with wealth or companies pay good money for tax advice, this helps them save £'sin paying tax. You only have to look at Jeremy Hunt, Farage, Tice, the RAGs - list goes on. its a shame this amount of effort is not being put on in the media around the like of Michelle Mone and her husband.

I also think Stamp Duty is a pile of shit and should be removed. It's an additional taxation on buying a house.

Adswood, actually, we were both born on the same council estate a generation or so apart. Met her briefly through work in her time as Unison convenor, a very intelligent and articulate woman. At that time she had yet to fully recapture the authentic Stockport 'street' accent and its abbreviated (though powerful) vocabulary which she's since expertly cultivated in her stellar political career as the big unions' hand on the levers of power. To repeat, Angela is a clever fake - deliberately using ultra coarse language to appeal to the working class vote and in doing so demeaning them. Nobody from a disadvantaged background should want their political aspirations for a more equal and better society characterised and exploited in that way. Starmer's patronizing tribute to her yesterday as the ultimate female working-class role model was truly sickening as is her own self-description as 'John Prescott in a skirt'. Prezzer was genuine from beginning to end.

Probably right, we need a government accountable for their mistakes.

I do think she genuinely comes across as a decent person that has made a mistake, either accidentally or intentionally.

That's politics. People wanting her gone will happily vote tax dodgers (Farage et al) at the next election.

I get the feeling she did everything with her son in mind.

She put the court order in to protect him and fucked up.

Wouldn't surprise me if some right wing scummy journalists started hounding him as well. Being a mother she wouldn't stand for that and do everything to protect him. Including ditching her career.
