Don’t blame them, they hate Labour as they are now and brief against them. So why would you grant them a pass for what should be a unified conference?

Ideologies are great when you’re in opposition, Corbyn loved them. The problem is that their type of ideology will not, in this era, be recognised by the population, and never put into practice. Meaning that those of the opposite ideology take even more from those that need it most.

Normally I’d agree, but Owen has gone so far the opposite way that he’s now built a persona that is similar to MAGA, using whataboutery and misinformation to further his cause.

What has to be understood is that this is the way that they make their money and he’s decided to go down a line that I don’t think he really believes, just a way to get himself noticed. He was on R5L a few weeks ago and even Nicky Campbell, who allows a decent debate, had to pull him over for said whataboutery. He wouldn’t answer certain questions and gave alternate answers to questions posed.

Just another influencer who uses his position to grift, IMO.

He's trying to hold this government to account. That's the job of journalists, or at least it should be.

Also, if he wanted to grift, he'd go down the route of all the client journalists in attendance, not bloody YouTube.

Owen believes himself to be a superior life form - which would be pretty bad if true but although it obviously isn't still puts him in a class apart from the rest of us. A unique analogue.

I'm no table thumping right wing nut job, far from it, but I can't listen to Owen Jones for the same reasons the right wing table thumping nut jobs don't want to listen to him either.

He's in a class of his own.

He will be allowed if enough people vote for him within our undemocratic system, but they won't. You only have to worry about the fortitude of the PM and his cabinet.

By the govt you mean the cabinet, and by the cabinet you mean Starmer, Reeves and Streeting.

20 ish cabinet members
3 at most who one needs to agree with.
