The Labour Government

You not seen him mate?

Smarmy, rent a smile, self serving prick, he wrote a book about himself.

Theres a lot in the Labour party like that at the moment, been an issue since the 90s.

Call me old fashioned, but the Labour lot need to be interested in what is good for people first, not what is good for their own image
I see a confident and competent politician. Wish there were many more like him

I’d be surprised if the rank and file would want to replace Starmer with someone who is even more of a Tory.
Voting system has changed to prevent another Corbyn. PLP have more voting power than the members and affiliates now.

The membership might want someone like Clive Lewis and the PLP will vote Mrs Balls.

Not according to the news reports. It's about cutting bureaucracy and putting the savings into front line care. Maybe it's being reported differently where you are?

Applications are already in in the trust I work in. Half of my colleagues have applied. I thought it would have been a bigger story tbh but for some reason the msm has stuck with the ‘getting rid of bureaucracy’ angle. How getting rid of senior clinicians in this time of 5hr+ ed waiting times is beyond me. I changed job 3 years ago otherwise I would have applied.

We've been through that earlier in the year (the terms were crap unless you were thinking of going anyway). Senior management reckon the uptake wasn't anywhere near enough and that it's highly likely 'round 2' will be offered early 2026. We're all hoping for better terms.

Not forgetting his biggest doners are US health firms.

The terms are a months wage for a years service. Max £80k. Even the last round in the NE they allowed clinical staff to apply but the offers were ridiculous. I’m surprised the media isn’t all over this considering the shit state that the ED and GP’s are in.

The dark Lord has his fingerprints all over these manoeuvres .... idle hands and all that.

The Mandelson Palantir Streeting axis is well documented. ........ even Marr started noticing.

Maybe he had a flashback ...

Yes I don’t know why this isn’t a big thing in the media. I don’t even put this at the governments door (although Streeting must know about it given how on top of his brief he is). It strikes me of unintended consequences of trusts needing to balance budgets.

I guess once it moves to phase 2 it will start hitting the news.

Haha!!

It does seem crazy but you are trying to attract talent the fucking mediocrity of so many is a huge issue.

Reduce the number, increase the pay you will get a smaller, better pool.
Well they get paid rather well as is what particularly talent have they brought so far? Im genuinely curious by this line of thought.

Not sure of the full detail so if you want to confirm where this all came from then would be interested to understand.

Like I said, when you’re plotting something, surely the person at the centre of the plot would know?

Wasn’t he supposed to be talking about the NHS this morning, I bet that went well.

Wherever it came from it was enough for Starmer to apologise to Streeting
