No more crime commissioners no more NHS England,18- 20,000 NHS management jobs gone. Think they are looking at or getting rid of other quangos. Minor change to welfare, slight cut to winter fuel

Not directly but if anyone is on any income support benefits due to low wages they kinda of are hopefully this is now basically at an end with the higher minimum wage but given the cost of living and the companies passing the higher wages on in higher prices and the housing crisis probably not yet.

Yet despite the logic of higher wages lower benefits bill lower taxes eventually business having stopped moaning about it

They did get £74m back from the Rachman like Hotel owners who are accommodating illegals. Unfortunately this only represented 2 weeks of hospitality. So the cost of housing these so called asylum seekers is £1.924 billion pounds per annum.

It didn't take long did it? OK so we put your "illegals" in tents in a field and save £2bn minus set up costs, staff, security (oh, and the field is at the end of your street) . Where's the rest coming from? Who do you want to see worse off, pensioners, the very poor, the very rich, workers, those out of work, the poorly? Because from what I can see all of those groups are untouchable for various reasons.

What I'm saying is none of this is easy and will impact groups far beyond those that we initally think may/should/could be affected.

I can only assume you live in an area where there is 100% employment rate and a surplus of jobs available.

The buck stops with him and he was apologising once again for having a hand in appointing a man to a position, knowing he had received donations from as did Nandy and that they would be breaking the ministerial code of conduct.

At what point do you accept he is fucking up instead of just handing him a free pass?

The buck does stop with him and if he has made mistakes, he’s apologised for them, and rightly so.
You seem too keen to put the boot in over things that, in the scheme of things, are hardly monumental

I could blame Labour but will give them a bit longer to see what they are made of. I will admit however that I am heartily sick of people entering our country illegally and know if it continues then heads will roll at the next General Election, because I am not in a minority.

Unfortunately we live in a world where in general bad news is given priority over good news.

Time is needed for any government to make changes that are visible. A year isn’t long enough.

The good news for all “working people” is that their pension funds have probably made 10% plus this year! I’m sure a few hundred quid in income tax rises won’t kill most people if they do target that. We got a 2% NI reduction a couple of years ago out of the blue when there wasn't a clamour to do it.

The talked about reduction in the benefits of salary sacrifice would hit me but I think those benefits are way too generous in the first place so not going to grumble if it is limited a bit. The tax relief alone is incentive enough.
