No but an area where people are prepared to get off their arses and do a days graft, I’ve been on price work most of my working lifeSo basically no time at all:
Initial waiting period
I can only assume you live in an area where there is 100% employment rate and a surplus of jobs available.
- Jobseeker's Allowance (JSA): You may have to wait up to 7 days after applying to start the claim, and up to 2 weeks after that for your first payment.
- Universal Credit: It can take approximately 5 weeks to receive your first payment. You can also apply for an advance to get money while you wait.
- Initial contact: After applying for benefits, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) will typically contact you within 14 days to invite you to an interview or inform you of your eligibility.
