Nearly always available cheaper if you buy before you start the journey. £90 now on the next train if you don't mind a bus from Bedford to Peterborough.

I very much do mind a bus from Bedford to Peterborough when im supposed to be travelling by train:-)

Malaga to Madrid over 300 miles between £8 and £40. It madness what we pay and also bad for the economy. I would love to fuck off to london or Edinburgh without loads of notice.

Nationalise it and subsidise the ticket, its madness that it costs more for us to travel within the UK than it does to fly all over Europe.

Daughter was quoted that (give or take a few quid I can’t remember the exact amount) the other week when she needed to get to London and back to monte darlo, I didn’t ask her for a screen shot but she sent me this when she was quoted it not long back.



I was quoted £355 for a two hour single train journey a few weeks back directly on the operators website, which was dearer than a weekly season ticket / taxi / paying someone to give me a piggy back.

Irrespective freezing fares is dog shit. Our train fares should have some correlation irrespective of when you buy (some folk only know their plans at the last minute). For the record this isn’t the current governments fault.

They should charge extra to not go via London!!! ;)

Daughters was quoted on train line (which you and I have discussed before about their pricing model) but I’ve certainly been quoted £355 direct on operator website. Anyway once they all back under on umbrella hopefully some sanity will be seen.
