It's easy to say that but, the UK by GDP, is the worlds 6th largest.
In all metrics that are relevent to the UK as a whole are consitently in the top 10.
This is the product of 2 centrist parties, whether in power or opposition.

The adults, whilst having not been perfect have been a lot better than what went previously. Considering the shit show they inherited, they are doing reasonably well considering

I think they’ve been utter shite.

Shit stinks, blue or red and this government is a fucking joke of U-turn after U-turn and mistake after mistake with the promises of what the adults would do better basically thrown out of the window from day 1.

Tories fucked it, Labour can’t fix it and whatever comes next will be even fucking worse but all that aside, it shouldn’t stop us looking at this current lot and thinking WTF is going on because it’s not good enough.

No, it’s not good enough, and we all deserve better, but of the current runners and riders, I think we have the best available.

Not really GDP per capita has us much lower, also the wealth gap within this country is a concern.

Im not sure having the 6th highest gdp helps when we are near the bottom of the pile for cancer survival with other equally wealthy countries for example.

Apparently the tax take on fuel duty is now at it's lowest level since Summer 2023.

We do indeed live in rip off Britain but given the overall tax burden and the tax wedge are lower here than in many similar advanced countries, in the round I don't think it's the government that's ripping us off; we need to be looking for the real culprits.
