Genuine question, who would the left want as leader?
Give me someone who isn't offering more austerity and condoning genocide. Not arsed who.

I have to admire Jones political acumen and timing. With Labour on the verge of a historic victory, Jones jumps ship to continue his successful career in lucrative opposition.
Very fair if you see it like that. The first part, there will be no choice at first but I think that will soon change. For the second, at least he was first to listen to his party and change the message, calling for a cease fire.Give me someone who isn't offering more austerity and condoning genocide. Not arsed who.
Do you think that's why he's done it? Really?
Everything is a grift ..... apart from more PFI and outsourcing. My comment was partly in jest, but it is self evident that there is more scope (and money) for his career opposing a Labour Govt under Starmer then supporting it, or remaining in the tent and offering coded criticism. He has a vocal and active constituency to service.
There is nothing wrong in having a vocal left community trying to keep Labour ’honest’ as they see it. The political landscape is pretty much baked in for the next five years, so people reacting to this reality, as Jones is doing, is as predictable as it is inevitable.
What’s your problem with copying this rule?
Is it literally just the fact the Tories invented it?
The rule means absolutely nothing. We had this all explained 3 weeks ago after the budget.
