The Labour Party

And Twitter.

Been told to fuck off and vote Tory by countless Corbyn supporters for merely suggesting a change of leadership is the right course of action.

Just stole this from the Guardian a tweet from Robert Saunders

I teach Hobson's "Imperialism" for an undergraduate course. Hobson was *both* a profoundly important thinker *and* viciously anti-Semitic. That Corbyn wrote a Foreword does not make him an anti-Semite but it does say something about his blind spots. I would have to agree to with this.

I would have to agree to with this.

I don’t think it is his ignorance though.

I think he genuinely believes this stuff and quite clearly agrees with the author.

If this was a one of incident and there were an apology that he got it wrong, I could let it go, ht there’s been a handful of very bad incidents of him endorsing or being antisemitic and it correlates with those around him and his closest supporters.

That's your opinion and one which is endorsed by all of the right wing media. But you won't let it go he has been proven time and time again to be innocent of what he is being accused of. I tend to judge a person by their actions and he has done nothing to prove that he is anti-Semitic in fact quite the opposite.

Absolutely Jeremy. Er, sorry I mean Mike.

I think you'll find there are plenty of us centrists and left wingers who share a similar opinion of him, matey.

Corbyn could "seemingly" be seen as innocent of being antisemitic, but he is wholly guilty about being tone deaf about what constitutes anti-semitism.

The Guardian and Independent, retrospectively left and centre papers are also running it, as well as many political commentators of the left on Twitter.

He hasn’t been proven to be innocent. These are direct quotes and something that he’s published.

His actions are to praise an antisemitic piece of propaganda artwork, lay a wreath at a terrorist who murdered Jews, write the foreword for an antisemitic book, say British Jews don’t understand the English sense of humour, fail to show any sort of support to a young female Labour MP getting targeted with antisemitism and fail to get a grip of racism in his party and even later admit they have ignored it, whilst surrounding himself with the likes of Milne who believes Israel are behind ISIS.

I’m well aware many who have spent a lifetime in politics will on occasion make mistakes that don’t reflect their lifelong views and positions, however the above has happened all in the last few years and some in the last year itself and the mistakes are far greater than nearly every other major politician.

This isn’t a coincidence. This isn’t happening to Tom Watson, Deputy Leader. If it was just a smeer campaign, we wouldn’t have the above evidence to be able to accurately recite, with Jeremy’s name next to these direct quotes and they would be also targeting other Labour MP’s such as Watson but they don’t have anything on him because he’s not a racist.

If Labour got rid of Corbyn, put someone like Watson in charge, backed a 2nd referendum and put into place a proper independent disciplinary procedure for dealing with racism, whilst maintaining near enough the same manifesto as they had in 2016, they’d have my vote right away.

This isn’t an opportunist attack from me, Labour are my party and I want better for them and the country.

The Guardian and Independent are (now) right wing publications and the Jewish Labour MP brought it on herself.

That's how Corbyn defenders logic works, right?

He could be caught shitting in the gardens of a synagogue and Mike D would claim he was just fertilising the grass.

That or he was lost again.

He hasn't proven to be guilty either? On the contrary having spent almost his entire political career opposing racist and supporting groups of people that have been oppressed such as Palistinians it makes an absolute mockery of what the right wing press are trying to do.

Whatever the rights and wrongs of the press coverage the simple fact remains that the man, and his front bench, CANNOT win a general election. In fact, given the desperate nature of the government, losing seats last Thursday should surely tell him that it is time for him to fall on his sword. His only job, as labour leader, is to defeat a Tory government and get into power and that looks well beyond him.
He always struck me as a man of principle, given his relentless voting against his own government, but that hardly sets the best example for a party wanting to get into power and needing your own MPs on side. However, all that aside, he seems to have become completely unprincipled in a shameless effort to appeal to all sides over Brexit. He appears as muddled and confused as Teresa May, which takes some doing and I don’t think his MPs have got any idea what his position is, because he doesn’t appear to have one. But, if he facilitates a Tory Brexit by agreeing some deal with May, he is doomed.
Whilst he got many younger voters last time, he doesn’t seem to realise that having the freedom to live and work in the EU is far more important than some empty rhetoric on tuition fees and if he can’t get the under 30s out to vote, the Labour Party have got absolutely no chance of winning.

You put Tom Watson and his ilk in leadership and you won't ever see a manifesto like that, but a "progresive" neo liberal model, and we have seen what the experiment with that economic political system has done.

By all means let's fuck corbyn off, mans a dick, but let's not just revert back to failed MPs.

As for the book shit, unfortunately historical writing, be phylosophy, fiction, factual, you would be hard pressed to find a writer who isn't racist or anti-semetic, so rule of thumb for corbyn should have been don't do a forward for book you dick.

It’s in black and white. His comments and actions speak loud and clear.

Watson isn’t Neoliberal. New Labour were in-between Neoliberalism and Socialism, Blair introduced mass investment into public services, including 30,000 new nurses and record investment, into the NHS, the largest organisation we have that is of Socialist principles - this is at odds with Neoliberalism. Third Way politics is about adopting certain aspects of Socialism and certain aspects of Neoliberalism where it makes sense, they lend themselves to both so it’s unfair to describe it as one or the other.

Watson isn’t New Labour anyway, he’s certainly not as far left as McDonnell but he’s more Socialist than Blair and would take this country further to the left if he gained power as PM.

We need change in this country that’s sure and we need to veer to the left, I argue that helping the Tories deliver Brexit and overseeing a group of conspiracy theorists and antisemites, isn’t the way to go about it.

Yep he is opposed to war and conflicts and gets how international policy works clear as day.

I’d love you to tell that to the face of a Syrian parent who’s child had died from a chemical weapons attack.

Tom watson isn't anything but a dupicitous self absorbed ****, will stab any win gof the party in the back to suit his present agenda

A horrible person, I would never expect him to be leader, but anyone who watson would back wouldn't write a manifesto like 2016.

The PLP is still full of career politions who would be happy to revert back to a pre milliband party, which had run it's course, world has changed and so have the public attitude to politics, a more forward thinking way is needed and that shouldn't include

Corbyn, abbot, the eagles, smith, creasey, watson, hodge, etc all relics that are worthless going forward
