I think they proved yesterday that they're the real deal. For this season anyway. They're playing with an unreal amount of confidence and almost every time they're predicted to slip up they just don't. I really thought the Christmas fixtures would see their challenge end and they did have a drop off in results and performances over that period - they put in a defensive performance against us at their place and we should've come away with 3 points - but since the turn of the year they've been smashing it again.

That said, there's 13 games still to go and this is where the pressure may really start to tell. Their games against the lowly teams could turn out to be as difficult as those against teams higher up the league. They've also benefitted from the patchy form of ourselves, Chelsea, Arse, and the Rags which has opened things up at the top of the league but If they win it, I won't begrudge them one bit and it will be the most remarkable title win in my lifetime and arguably of all time.

As soon as they lose one game they will lose another couple in a row. People are getting carried away by beating us , yet it's almost taken as a given that they will be beating the other teams (hammers, Spurs etc) . Also saying that the title is over with 13 games left to play is madness, , as soon as they lose s couple of games ( I'd bet Arsenal will wake up and take charge for once and tonk them) and we win our games vs Spurs and arsenal (which is far from a. Certainty) we would be top.

They have been extremely lucky that their team is all in good form at once, refs favoring them also, and you have w scenario were they are. However as much as Ranieri seems like a decent man (despite being half-arsed when the Palermo team he was in was relegated) he has no track record of winning anything. I would honestly be much more wary of Spurs who have an exciting young manager who brings in youth, plays attractive football.

Also, I can't understand how fans of other team (including our own) want them to win the league....support your team and only them ffs. I honestly a, worried as they will Get a CL spot and will be brutally exposed in that competition, screwing over the coefficient.

People have been saying for weeks now.

They had a dodgy spell around the time we played them away, but they have come through that and are winning again.

I think it might all come tumbling down when the fans actually start to think they'll win it and anything less will be a crushing blow. The players will pick up on that vibe and will start to feel the pressure and struggle under the expectation

Listening to some of the comments from Leicester fans after yesterday I think that point might have been reached

What Leicester have done this season - as amazing as it is - happens from time to time, a team come along and exceed everyone's expectations, play above their abilities... in the past the team would be a flash in the pan, a one season wonder, that would have it's best players cherry-picked by the 'big boys' the following season – however with the money up for grabs in the PL next season, that won't happen so much anymore.
I'm sick of hearing pundits and fans say the PL is not as strong this season, when it's clear to see that a lot of the teams are getting stronger. If we can't win it this season, i'd rather Leicester did... the crap the media will spout will be unbearable - but not as bad as Arsenal or Spuds winning it.

Fair play to Leicester, they deserved their win yesterday and were excellent. Effort was outstanding.

Still hoping we can win the league but if we don't then I would love them to win it.

Agree completely. Some throbber on Sunday Supplement yesterday was having a pop at Pellegrini for daring to suggest that the league has got tougher because of the additional money that other teams are spending. This so-called journalist basically berated him, saying it's Leicester City we're trailing behind, not Stoke, Spurs, Everton, Liverpool, West Ham etc etc.

Yes, you fucking bellend, we get that, but the mere presence of those teams has made the whole league much more competitive. The points total to win the title will likely be way down on previous years precisely because teams like this are regularly taking points off the 'big boys'. We've lost 6 already and are still in the race with 13 games to go FFS!

It's staggering that this is the level of intellect responsible for shaping the opinions of so many football fans across the country.

After weekend I'm now for the first time thinking they could win it. I still don't think they will mind. Loads of games left, and anyone is capable of beating anyone. In a months time or so some of the Leicester players will start to think they can win, really start to let it get you them, and that is when things will get nervy and I don't think they'll be as open in games and could start to falter. Most of their team will have never thought it possible to win the prem and I think the nearer it gets the more it will affect them psychologically.

We're well in this, and more than capable of finishing top.

We will know more after this weekend. I honestly think if Leicester beat Arsenal they will go on and win it.
